Winslow Technology Group Hosts SAN and The Celtics

BOSTON (March 7, 2007)—Winslow Technology Group hosted an informative session on enterprise-wide storage technology, featuring Compellent—the only SAN with automated tiered storage. IT professionals from across New England attended to learn how they could cut storage expenditures in half and reduce the complexity of their storage infrastructure.

Featured speaker Marty Sanders, Compellent VP of Technology Services, provided a technical review and live demonstration of the Compellent SAN. Attendees were shown how to easily and seamlessly implement an ILM strategy, recover from data hazards in just minutes, and manage more storage without adding staff.

Jim Harrell, Winslow Technology Group Manager of Systems Engineering, provided a demonstration of the Compellent SAN that included booting off the SAN, setting up a Data Instant Replay schedule for business continuity, and automatically progressing data from one tier of storage to another tier of storage.

The session closed with an open forum for Q&A and sharing of individual concerns, tips and solutions amongst professionals, resulting in a tangible takeaway for all.
